More info
A product designed to protect heated materials from oxidation and scale formation. Condursal Z1100 is used in the heating of carbon and alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and red brass. The product creates a coating that protects heated materials from scale formation for approximately 7 hours at temperatures between 600°C and 1100°C. The coating turns black during heat treatment, and after the process is complete and the material cools, it automatically peels off when brushed.

Instructions for use:

The surfaces of the material to be heat treated should be cleaned of rust and other contaminants and then degreased, e.g., with a solvent. Before applying the product, the surface of the material must be clean and dry. Mix CONDURSAL Z1100 thoroughly and apply a thin layer to the workpiece using a soft brush. The product can also be applied by roller, spray, or immersion, ensuring a layer thickness of approximately 15 µm. Applying too thick a layer, especially an uneven one, will cause flaking and reduce its insulating properties. Allow the item to dry. The drying time is 10-30 minutes, depending on the layer thickness and ambient temperature. For prolonged annealing, it is recommended to apply two thin layers of the product; the second layer should be applied only after the first layer has completely dried.

All tools used for application, such as brushes or rollers, should be cleaned with a solvent (xylene) after use, and the can should be tightly closed.

Subject the item to heat treatment. As it cools, the protective coating created by CONDURSAL Z1100 will begin to flake, allowing for easy removal with a brush or brush.

Notes:

Applying too thick a layer of the preparation may cause the protective layer to flake and peel during heat treatment.

CONDURSAL Z1100 is not suitable for annealing at temperatures below 600°C. At lower temperatures, CONDURSAL Z1100 forms a black, difficult-to-remove coating on the workpiece surface.

The package contains approximately 0.9 kg of the preparation.
