A puncture tool with a pointed tip, used to create vent channels in the compacted molding sand. Creating the channels with an awl increases the mold's permeability. Piercing the molding sand facilitates the removal of gases released during the pouring of the mold with molten metal. When creating vent channels in the molding sand, be careful not to damage the model with the sharp tip of the puncture tool. Proper mold venting and good-quality molding sand directly influence the quality of the resulting casting. Venting awls are available in straight and curved versions. Dimensions: Straight molding awl: length 330 [mm], diameter 3 [mm]. Curved molding awl: length 260 [mm], diameter 3 [mm].
