Our silicone is designed to embed the anvil on a wooden trunk. It fills up any unevenness at the contact surface between the anvil and the trunk, and also reduces vibrations of the anvil during forging. The silicone can also be used to set a hammer handle (together with a wedge), to  protect the hammer head against loosening. The silicone mass should not be used for setting chisels, punches and other tools used for beating. After solidification, the silicone forms a layer of hard rubber. The metal packaging of the silicone is suitable for applying with a silicone pistol.
